Fit Factory Looks To Impress At Apex 4

Taking place January 10 from Sullivan Central High School in Blountville, Tenn, Apex Fights 4 has a lineup that is rivaling any card that has been put on to this date.  On that card there are two fighters from Fit Factory that will be on display, including the main event.

Let's take a look at those fighters and the fights they have ahead of them.

First we take a look at Christal Martin, who will be taking on Angie Dugan.  Martin is 1-0, getting that win back at Valor 15 in August. I guess we can chalk that one up to the intimidation factor because Martin's opponent quit before the fight even began.

Martin has been with Fit Factory for almost a year, and in the past has been a Crossfit instructor, so you know she will be in the best shape possible for this fight.  We spoke with Fit Factory coach Gene Click about her.

"She is crazy strong at her weight and super aggressive and she knows how to compete," Click commented.  "With that being said, I'm sure this next fight will be a nice spectacle for fans."

Martin;s next opponent doesn't scare too easy and will definitely put up a fight.  Martin will be putting her skills to the test against JCMAA's Angie Dugan, a 2-0 amateur. With Dugan's grappling game I look for her to get it to the ground, but that may be easier said than done.

Lastly Fit Factory will be represented in the main event by "Relentless" Craig Johnson.  Johnson has been a stud as both an amateur and a professional with a combined MMA record of 14-3. Johnson has made a name for himself with his wrestling prowess, and vicious ground and pound, which makes him a matchup nightmare for most of his opponents.

His next opponent is probably the biggest name he has faced to date in Adam Townsend.  If you know anything about local MMA then you know the magnitude of this matchup, and if you don't let me put it in perspective for you.  Do you know the story of David and Goliath?  Well this is the story of Goliath and Goliath.

"It's a huge main event for the region and for these guys. It will be a tough one for either guy." Click said.

These two fighters are two of the biggest names in the South not to be signed to a major promotion.

Here's the full card for Apex 4.
