Bout 1 - Atomweight Grappling Bout                                                                                                                                                  Josh Hanson (Debut, Kaos/Knoxville,TN) vs. Brad Atkins (Debut, Evolution Sports Gym/Elizabethton, TN)

Hanson was able to score the only takedown in the match, but Atkins was close on two submission attempts.  Neither fighter was able to get a submission.

Winner: The fight was ruled a draw because neither fighter was able to get a submission.

Bout 2 - Grappling Bout
Arron Meadows (Debut, JCMAA/Johnson City, TN) vs. Eddie Horne (1-0, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Meadows started out in top postion, but Horne was able to reverse the action and finish the round on top.

Winner: After one 5 minute round neither fighter was able to get a submission, so this match is ruled a draw.


Bout 3 - Grappling Bout
Eddie Brittain (Debut, JCMAA/Johnson City, TN) vs. Joe Wright (Debut, Imperial Training Center/Crossville, TN)

Wright was able to gain an armbar and a rear naked choke, but Brittain showed tremendous heart in that bout taking on someone half his age.  

Winner: Joe Wright with two submissions to none.  


Bout 4- Grappling Bout 
Brenden Bohannon (Debut, JCMAA/Johnson City, TN) vs. James Foster (Debut, Berzerker Combat Athletics/Clinton, TN)

Bohannon was able to gain 8 submission, and Foster was only able to gain one.

Winner: Brenden Bohannon with 8 submissions to 1. 


Bout 5 - Kickboxing Bout                                                                                                                                                                    Jordan Hensely (Debut, FNO Boxing/Johnson City, TN ) vs. Dezmon Carpenter (Debut, FNO Boxing/Johnson City, TN)

Round 1 - Both fighters showed good technique, and hard to give an edge to either fighter.

Round 2 - This round I would have to give to Hensely because he was the aggressor and was able to land more strikes in the round.  

Round 3 - Carpenter hit a low blow, but Hensely was able to recover and finish the round.

Winner: Jordan Hensely by unanimous decision.


Bout 6 - Welterweight Bout                                                                                                                                                                    Zack Jackson (0-1, Independent/Wise, VA) vs. Robert Callahan (Debut, Team Ludus/Johnson City, TN)

Round 1 - Both these fighters are making their debut in our first MMA bout of the night.  Callahan starts with some jabs, but Jackson is the one who is able to connect.  Callahan comes in to clinch and Jackson locks up a guillotine, but Callahan is able to fight free.  As the fighters circle, Callahan lands a cross that rocks Jackson, and follows it up with another one that sends him to the mat.  Callahan is able to land in mount, and lands some elbow to the body.  After a bit of work Callahan is able to posture up and rain down some ground and pound until the ref steps in to stop the fight.  

Winner: Robert Callahan by TKO in 2:23 of round 1. 


Bout 7 - Middleweight Bout 
Tommy Ward (Debut, Mountain City Mayhem/Mountain City,TN) vs. Andre Gamble (1-5, Team Infidel/Johnson City, TN)

Round 1 - Gamble lands a nice jab cross combo then clinches with Ward.  Ward is able to get a big slam and land in top position, but Gamble is able to reverse the action, then move to mount.  Gamble is able to posture up and starts landing ground and pound on Ward.  Ward shows good heart and takes a few shots before the ref steps in to stop it.  

Winner: Andre Gamble by TKO in 1:06 of round 1. 

Bout 8 - Catchweight (175 lbs.) Bout
Daris Reynolds (Debut, Independent/Bristol, TN) vs. Tomas Hill (Debut, Team Ludus/Johnson City, TN)

Round 1 - The fighters touch gloves and we are under way.  Hill closes the distance, and clinches up with Reynolds to push him against the cage.  Reynolds is able to spin and now has Hill up against the cage.  Reynolds locks up a guillotine and Hill falls to his back.  Reynolds is able to land in top position and lands some punches in mount, then Hill spins and Reynolds is able to take the back and lock in a rear naked choke.  Hill shows great determination and is able to fight out of it, but Reynolds is able to get the mount position back and lands a few punches before the round comes to an end.  

Round 2 - Nice front kick to the head of Hill from Reynolds.  Reynolds is now getting fancy with a jumping kick, but then clinches with Hill and puts him on the cage.  Hill throws a hook to the body, and Reynolds answers with a knee to the body, but then releases the hold and gets back to the center.  Hill shoots for a takedown, but Reynolds is able to sprawl and get the top side control.  Hill jumps to his back to try and slam, but Reynolds goes for a armbar then switches to a triangle, but is unable to get the submission before the round ends.  

Round 3 - I have Reynolds up two rounds to none, and think Hill needs a finish to win this fight.  Reynolds misses a close spinning back fist, and Hill makes him pay by taking him down to the mat.  Working from Reynolds' guard, Hill is in control, but not doing much with it.  Few punches to the body of Reynolds, but not a lot of damage is being done.  The action slows and the ref stands them back up.  Hill shoots again, but Reynolds sparwls, and throws some knees to the body.  Hill reshoots and is able to get the takedown.  With the round coming to an end, Hill is able to finish the round on top.

After three rounds of action we go to a judges' decision.  All three judges score the fight 29-28,29-27,29-28 for your winner...

Winner: Daris Reynolds by unanimous decision. 

 

Bout 9 - Welterweight Bout 
Cody Farley (3-0, JCMAA/Johnson City, TN) vs. Caleb Edwards (Debut, Independent/ Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - Farley clinches to start us off and puts Edwards on the cage.  Farley is able to get mount, then is able to get to the back of Edwards.  Edwards is able to spin and get back to Farley's guard.  Edwards is able to stand to his feet and throws a big punch to Farley's head.  Farley keeps his composure and is able to lock up an armbar.  Edwards attempts to slam Farley, but only makes the submission that much tighter, and is forced to tap.

Winner: Cody Farley by submission via armbar in 1:46 of round 1.  


Bout 10 - 
Hannah Elswick (1-1, Independent/Tazwell, VA) vs. Alexa Tarallo (1-0, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - Elswick starts with a leg kick, and Tarallo answers back with a jab cross combo.  Elswick goes to clinch with Tarallo and Tarallo makes her eat some knees for her troubles.  Tarallo is able to get a headlock and executes a nice hip toss and falls on top of Elswick.  Elswick seems to be hurt and the ref calls the fight.  

Winner: Alexa Tarallo by verbal submission due to a throw in :37 of round 1.  


Bout 11 - Bantamweight Bout 
Robert Francis (,Midway Precision Combat/Newport, TN) vs. Joseph Pelletier (Debut, Team Ludus/Johnson City, TN)

Round 1 - Francis starts with a leg kick, and Pelletier answers back with a cross.  Francis is looking for a spinning back kicks, but misses with both of them.  Pelletier is starting to land a bunch of punches followed by leg kicks.  Francis is starting to drop his hands a bit, and that could come back to hurt him later in the fight.  Another big leg kick by Pelletier followed by a cross uppercut combo.  Francis lands a good body kick, but needs to follow it up.  Pelletier clinches up and attempts a throw, but Francis is the one who lands in the top position.  Pelletier is able to lock up a triangle, and with one second left is able to get Francis to tap.

Winner: Joseph Pelletier by submission via triangle choke in 2:59 of round 1. 

Bout 12 - Women's Atomweight Bout
Tiffani Jenkins (1-1, JCMAA/Johnson City, TN) vs. Linda Gray (Debut, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - Jenkins starts us off with a leg kick followed by another.  Jenkins is now working punches, then clinches with Gray and puts her on the cage.  Jenkins is throwing some good knees to the body of Gray.  Jenkins is staying in control of this round just keeping Gray on the cage and that is where the round will end.

Round 2 - Gray lands a nice overhand on Jenkins, and Gray is now finding her groove.  Jenkins clinches with Gray once again and puts Gray on the cage.  Gray is fighting hard to get off the cage, but the action slows and the ref starts them back in the center of the cage.  Gray is starting to get the better of the exchange on the feet, and Jenkins wants to put Gray on the cage once again.  The action slows again and the ref restarts the action.  Gray once again lands a nice cross, and Jenkins clinches with Gray and puts her on the cage.  Gray falls to her back with a guillotine, but is unable to get it as the bell sounds to end the round. 

Round 3 - Jenkins comes in with a leg kick and connects, but Gray answers with a hard cross and Jenkins clinches to put Gray on the cage.  Gray spins and attempts a takedown, but Jenkins sprawls and is able to get top position on Gray.  A few punches from Jenkins then she moves to mount.  Jenkins is able to posture up and lands some ground and pound.  Gray goes for a spin to give up her back and Jenkins takes it.  Gray spins again and Jenkins takes top position on Gray and that is where the final round will end.  I had that fight one round a piece after the second round, but I think Jenkins was able to win that final round.

After 3 rounds of action we go to the judges' scorecards.  The judges score the fight: 29-28 for you winnner....

Winner: Tiffani Jenkins by unanimous decision. 


Bout 13 - Welterweight Bout
Billy Combs (2-7, Mountain City Meyhem/Mountain City, TN) vs. Kane Drinnon (Debut, Independent/Oak Ridge, TN

Round 1 - Combs lands a big body kick, and Drinnon starts throwing some big hooks.  Combs shoots for a takedown and puts Drinnon on the cage.  Drinnon does have a guillotine locked up, but Combs is fighting it well.  Combs goes for a big slam and is able to get Drinnon to his own corner where he can hear his cornermen.  Working from top position, Combs goes to pass, but Drinnon is able to keep him in his guard.  With the round coming to an end, Combs is able to finish the round in top position.

With the fighter back to their corner inbetween rounds the ref waves his hands to signal the fight is over.  

Winner: Billy Combs by verbal submission in 3:00 of round 1. 

 

Bout 14 - Catchweight (140 lbs.) Bout
Kiara West (5-11, Independent/Oakwood, GA) vs. Nick Baker (4-10-1, F5 MMA/Morristown, TN)

Round 1 - This fight has a big buzz around it and lets if it lives up to the hype.  Baker misses with a kick, and West shoots for a single leg.  Baker fights it off and lands some punches to the head, and West throws a knee to the leg that connects low.  We have a break in the action, and Baker seems to be okay.  Baker misses with a leg kick then a spinning back kick.  West shoots and is able to get Baker to his knees.  Baker is able to get back to his feet where he throws some punches to the body of West.  West follows up with some nice foot stomps and shoulder jolts.  The action slows and the ref starts them back in the center.  Baker lands a big leg kick, and West goes for another takedown to end the round.

Round 2 - Both fighters land big leg kicks to start this round.  Baker goes for a spinning back fist, and West is able to shoot in for a takedown and get the fight to the mat.  Shoots to the body of the head and body from West.  Baker is working his back to the cage, and is able to get back to his feet.  West is still in on a leg looking for a takedown and is able to get a slam on Baker.  Baker is looking to get a Kimora to maybe get back to his feet.  West throws some elbows to the body of Baker, and that is where the round will end.

Round 3 - I have this fight one round a piece and this being the deciding round.  Baker lands a solid leg kick to start this round off, and now it's Baker shooting for a takedown, but West defends it well.  West goes for another knee, but it lands low and Baker is down.  The ref gives another warning to West to get the knees up.  Baker fights thru it and West shoots for another takedown.  Baker goes for a double fist shot to the back and hits West in the spine.  The ref has no choice but to take a point.  Baker resumes with a fury of punches, and connects with a few of them, then takes West down.  Baker is able to get the back of West and looks to get an armbar.  It appeared that Baker had it, but West fights out of it just before the round ends.  

After three rounds of action we go to the judges' scorecards.  The judges score the fight: 28-28,29-27,29-27 for your winner...

Winner: Kiara West by majority decision.


Bout 15 - Light Heavyweight Bout
Aaron Lee (0-2, Independent/Rogersville, TN) vs. Doug Williams (5-2, Team Oxendine/Johnson City, TN)

Round 1 - Lee gets in close and lands a nice overhand then pushes Williams into the cage.  Williams is able to spin and put Lee on the cage.  Williams goes for a throw, but Lee is the one who lands in top position on the back of Williams.  Lee is going for a rear naked choke, but Williams is fighting it well.  Lee gets off the back of Williams and Williams is quick to get back to the clinch and put Lee on the cage.  Both fighters go for knees, but Lee lands one a little low.  Ref gives Williams five minutes to recover.  Williams is okay and we continue.  Williams lands a couple of kicks to end the round.  

Round 2 - Lee presses the action, and puts Williams on the cage. Williams throws some vicious knees, and one appears to connect to the head.  The ref pauses the action, but Lee seems to be hurt.  After a bit, the fighter is unable to continue and the ref calls the fight.

Winner: This fight is rules a no contest due to an accidental foul. 


Bout 16 - Light Heavyweight Bout                                                                                                                                                              A.J. Hardaway (8-1, Independent/Riverdale, GA) vs. Tyrone Jackson (9-4, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - This is a rematch from two and half years ago where Hardaway was able to get the KO victory, but lets see if Jackson can make it 1-1.  Hardaway lands a solid leg kick, but so does Jackson.  An outside leg kick followed by an inside leg kick from Hardaway, and Jackson shoots and gets a takedown.  Working from Hardaway's guard, Jackson moves to half guard.  Hardaway is able to get a sweep and gets back to his feet.  Hardaway closes the distance to throw some punches, and Jackson shoots another takedown and gets it.  With the round coming to an end Jackson lands some punches from guard on Hardaway.

Round 2 - Hardaway starts with another leg kick.  Jackson is answer back with a leg kick of his own.  Jackson shoots for another takedown, but this time Hardaway is able to sprawl, and Jackson throws a big knee but it was to the head.  The ref warns Jackson and the action continues.  As Jackson comes in to punch Jackson takes a thumb to the eye.  The ref stops the action and the doctors comes in to look at Jackson.  After a close look, Jackson is unable to continue.  

Winner: This fight is ruled a no contest due to an accidental foul.

 

Bout 17 - Profesional Lightweight Bout
Latral Perdue (1-6, Independent/Atlanta, GA) vs. Dustin Walden (7-3, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - This is our first pro fight of the night, and Walden starts us off with a leg kick.  Perdue goes for a superman punch takedown, and is able to get it.  Walden is able to lock up a triangle, and Perdue is forced to tap.

Winner: Dustin Walden by submission via triangle choke in :38 of round 1.


Bout 18 - Professional Lightweight Bout
Noe Quintanilla (11-24, 30 Round MMA/Roanoke, VA) vs. Jonathan Pearce (Debut, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - Pearce is quick to shoot for the takedown and puts Quintanilla on the cage.  Pearce is able to put his head inbetween the leg of Quintanilla and slam him over his head.  Now Pearce has the back of Quintanilla and is able to get one hook in.  Pearce gives it up to knee the side of Quinanilla, and the crowd erupts.  Now Pearce gets both hooks in and is looking for the choke.  Quintanilla rolls and is able to get out of the choke but not the grips of Pearce, and Pearce slams him again.  Quintanilla gets back to his feet and has his back on the cage, but Pearce is still in on a double leg, but spins to hit an elbow then takes Quintanilla back to the mat.  With the round coming to an end Pearce finishes the round on the back on Quintanilla.

Round 2 - Pearce throws a jab and shoots for a double leg and get yet another big slam from Pearce.  Working from Quintanilla's guard, Pearce is staying busy with punches and elbows.  Pearce is able to pass to half guard, and continues to work the body and head of Quintanilla.  Pearce is able to posture up and land some big shots, and Quintanilla spins to let Pearce take his back.  Pearce is landing some big shots to the body and head of Quintanilla.  Pearce is able to get both hooks in and is in full control of this fight.  Still working the head of Quintanilla, and Quintanilla is trying his best to get back to his feet.  With the round coming to a close, Pearce finishes the round with Quintanilla's back.

Round 3 - Pearce starts this round with a head kick, then follows it up with a cross.  Quintanilla seems to be hurt cause he shoots for a takedown.  Pearce is able to stop it and throws a jumping knee that connects.  Quintanilla falls to the mat and Pearce jumps on him until the ref stops the fight.

Winner: Jonathan Pearce by TKO in :22 of round 3 


Bout 19 - Professional Catchweight (180 lbs.) Bout
Dameon Melton (3-9, Independent/Jackson, TN) vs. Tyler Minton (5-1, Team Oxendine/Johnson City, TN)

Round 1 - Minton lands a solid jab and Melton shoots to get a slam and is able to do so, but Minton gets right back to his feet, and then takes Melton down.  Melton is able to get back to his feet against the cage, but Minton takes him right back down.  Minton locks up a front darce, and is able to get Melton to tap.

Winner: Tyler Minton by submission via darce choke in 1:33 of round 1. 


Bout 20 - Professional Light Heavyweight Title Bout - Co-Main Event
Michael Cockerham (8-11, Four Seasons/Stanton, KY) vs. Dustin Long (4-1, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - Cockerham starts with a inside leg kick, and Long follows it up with one of his own.  Long goes in with a jab, cross, jab combo that backs Cockerham up.  Long goes in again and this time shoots for a takedown and gets it.  Working from half guard, Long is looking to land some ground and pound.  Long lands a good shot to the head of Cockerham.  Repeated shots from Long to the head of Cockerham, and Cockerham attempts to get back to his feet, but Long is having none of that.  Cockerham is able to get Long back in his guard, but needs to get off his back.  Long is able to pass to side control.  Cockerham scrambles, and Long locks up a triangle but cannot get it before the round ends. 

Round 2 - Cockerham looking for more leg kicks, and Long lands a solid hook that drops Cockerham.  Long jumps on him to try and finish with punches, but locks up a rear naked choke instead, and Cockerham is forced to tap.  

Winner: Dustin Long by submission via rear naked choke in :50 of round 2, and new Evolution Light Heavyweight champion.


Bout 21 - Professional Catchweight (158 lbs.) Bout - Main Event
Eric Calderon (4-4, Independent/Dallas, NC) vs. Adam Townsend (9-3, D-Evil/Elizabethton, TN)

Round 1 - Calderon starts with an inside leg kick then a flying knee that Townsend counters with a hook.  Calderon shoots for a takedown and puts Townsend on the cage.  Both fighters are working punches to the head, and now Calderon is working foot stomps.  Townsend is able to spin and put Calderon on the cage.  After a few blows from both fighters, Townsend separates and we are back to the center.  Townsend lands a big overhand on Calderon that rocks him.  They go to the mat but Calderon is able to get back to his feet.  Townsend backs up Calderon to the cage, and both fighter throw some big punches.  Townsend then drops for a takedown and is able to get, but then lets Calderon back to his feet.  Calderon is looking for spinning back fists but misses wildly.  Townsend is able to get Calderon back to the mat, and stands over top of him to finish the round.  

Round 2 -  Townsend is stalking Calderon this fight.  Calderon gives out a big shout to rile up Townsend, but Townsend just takes him back down to the mat.  Working from half guard, Townsend is able to pass to mount.  No doubt Townsend is looking to pound out Calderon.  Townsend lands a couple of big shots before Calderon spins and gives Townsend his back.  Townsend sinks in a one handed choke and is able to finish it.

Winner: Adam Townsend by submission via rear naked choke in 1:56 of round 2.
